Visa applications at VFS Global

All visa applications are submitted via the outsourcing company VFS Global, with the exception of visa applications for holders of diplomatic and other official passports and family members of Belgian nationals

Family members of Belgian nationals can apply through VFS or directly through the Embassy: please send an email to luanda.visa@diplobel.fed.be to book an appointment and learn about the required documents (only family members of Belgian nationals).

Applicants now also have the possibility to apply for a visa already 6 months before their travel date. Please note that the application must be submitted at least 15 days before the desired travel date.

How to submit your visa application

In order to prepare your application, you have to determine which visa type you need, and check whether you’re eligible to apply for it.

Then, you’ll need to know the documents that you’ll have to submit along with your application, how long the application might take and fees you’ll have to pay.

Each application must comply with the guidelines applicable for its visa category.

If your documents are not in Dutch, French or German, you may need to get translations prepared before applying.

All the necessary instructions can be found on the VFS website
